24-Bit D/A Converter: Music Reproduction at Its Best
The 24-Bit D/A converter delivers a sonic experience beyond CD quality. The only way to experience the sonic impact of DVD movie soundtracks or music videos is through 24-bit processing. Clarion’s 24-bit D/A converter eliminates the signal defects of older 16 bit decoding by actually “oversampling” the digital signal. This greatly improves overall sound quality of the D/A converter, creating a more natural sound and better imaging.

User Ratings and Reviews
4 Stars Great, small pain to install
Unit works great. Especially love the iPod interface–well done, Clarion. Audio (but not video) works w/ the iPhone 3G (except it doesn’t charge, but I blame Apple for that more than Clarion). Everything went pretty smooth except getting the control wire to the parking brake. That was a pain.
4 Stars MAX385VD
Got this double din system after my pioneer double din was stolen. Good sound quality, okay equalizer and sub settings, great picture and touch screen! Great DVD playback as well. Overall great head unit, background color change would make this unit better if it had. Also it could use a bit more equalizer settings. Have yet to use the ipod cord.
4 Stars Great buy
This was an excellent value for the price I paid the sound quality is excellent.
4 Stars max 385
this item adds great sound to your vehicle and the screen has great clarity. only down side is that the buttons on the sides do not illuminate. so it does not add to the dash illumination at night.
1 Star Disappointed
I was very Disappointed in the Clarion MAX385VD I thought Clarion was one of the best the picture when playing dvd’s was great sound is ok . But after 2 weeks the door got stuck and wouldnt open . There goes the CD I just brought money down the drain . I had to pay some one to install it and had to pay someone to uninstall it.I wont never buy Clarion again.
