User Ratings and Reviews
5 Stars Amazing Bluetooth Headset!
What Motorola started out as the original S9 Bluetooth headset has finally come of age. It was very nice unit with few hick-ups and the overall performance was good to pretty good (B or B+). The latest and greatest – S9 HD is defenitely a step above in all categories; an overall A!
Upgraded bluetooth technology with better: range (0 drop signal), clarity, bass, and now includes WOW effect. Have not tried it to carry on a conversation but that’s neither here or there (personally). It has served my intended purpose very well – lightweight, wireless, ultra-portable, and above average sound quality. Highly recommended!
5 Stars Great Headphones, Just Doesn’t Work With iPhone 3G
These headphones are everything they’re cracked up to be. But I, like many others, were hoping to get stereo A2DP capability for my iPhone 3G with this package. The Motorola D650 does NOT work with the iPhone 3G despite some other reviews posted. However, the product still gets 5 stars because it doesn’t claim to. The adapter DOES, however, work just fine with the older iPods. I didn’t intend to rely on the adapter to work anyway when I bought these. I just ordered them early in anticipation for the iPhone 3.0 software coming out later this summer. Once that software is released, the iPhone 3G will support A2DP and HOPEFULLY these headphones. There’s no reason why they shouldn’t work. Don’t go wasting another $50-$60 on a bluetooth adapter that actually works when you only have to wait a couple more months to get full iPhone 3G integration. So until then, I will enjoy the headphones on my other A2DP capable devices and anxiously anticipate the new software package from Apple. Please note, the A2DP software update portion of iPhone 3.0 is ONLY for iPhone 3G and NOT iPhone 2G. Without some sort of hack, A2DP will not work with the old generation iPhone and, therefore, neither with these headphones. I’m not even sure if the old iPhone’s internal Bluetooth chip is capable of A2DP like the iPhone 3G’s. If so, pray for a hack old iPhoners. Or you could always switch and upgrade to 3G. There might be a Bluetooth dev team out there working on a hack. Time will tell.

1 Star Not ready for prime-time
I really tried to like this product. The concept is great, but the execution is pathetic. It constantly loses connection between the adapter and headset. I cannot tell you how irritating it is to have to listen to stuttering sound all the time. I have to turn it off and back on to get connection and then only for a couple of minutes. I returned one set thinking I had a defective product, but the replacement is no better. Look elsewhere for a bluetooth device.
5 Stars S9 is very sweet
The Moto S9 has great sound for music. It took a few days to get use to the earbuds regarding comfort. Other than that it cake.
2 Stars NOT iPhone 3G compatible
This bundled product is not compatible with the iPhone 3G (The D650 adapter). I bought this bundle based on the strength of the reviews (and it was cheaper then the sony bundle); I was wrong. I tried every suggested technique posted here and other support forums with no luck.
I spoke with Motorola Support and they said No, it will not work, if it does, it’s just luck. The web site with the info[...] Look for Summary of Features; footnote 1.
Aside from that, it works fine for everything but music.
