User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Great product
Nothing to complain about. It’s easy to use, works fine with iPhone. Sound quality is good. Wireless is great!

One thing that could be improved is the size of the buttons (especially to pause the music, button is small, thin, hard to find and you often inadvertently press the forward/backward button).

The only other thing is that I was used to in-ear headphones and I have to say that when it’s very noisy outside (metro) you barely hear the music. But I guess it’s the same for all behind-the-neck headphones.

Laslty I would like to mention that you can hook up 9 devices to each of the 2 (the transmitter + the headset), and if you simultaneoulsy hook up the iphone with its internal BT and with the BT transmitter to the headset, you will be able not only to listen music and control your ipod; but you will also be able to answer calls with it (music will shut down and you just have to press a button on the headset).

1 Star Sub-Par
The Sony DR-BT21IK/B Wireless Transmitter and Bluetooth Headset for iPod was a utter dissapointment. If you’re looking for a Bluetooth Headset to use during any type of physical activity then you need to keep looking. This unit skips like a first generation CD player traveling down a washboard gravel road in a rusted out Ford F150. Stick to a traditional wired unit until Sony profects the bluetooth connection technology.

5 Stars Just what I wanted
This headset is great! I was so sick of being corded to my ipod the tangle and mess. The sound quality is good- set up easy – works with my ipod and blackberry.

The folding feature makes it easy to carry and store. My only small problem – I have long hair that sometimes will get caught in the hinge every once in a great while. Overall, this product completely meets my needs! Love it!

2 Stars Good sound, but lousy wireless capabilities
1. First of all, it’s very sobering that most folks think this is a good unit.. actually very scary.

2. Here’s the reality:

a. re: sound, the headphones actually sound pretty good. I’m not an audiophile, but I assume most folks who are thinking of getting this unit aren’t purchasing it for high fidelity reasons. With that being said, these sound pretty good to me (no hissing, no odd sounds, nice clear audio).

b. re: wireless capabilities–> it completely stinks. when you analyze the purchase, the only reason you’re getting these headphones compared the more capable units is because of the wireless feature. Thus it was a complete dissapointment when I realized that you could only reliably hear audio only if nothing obstructs the bluetooth transmitter. even having the ipod in your pocket will inevitably result in episodic audio drops. If on the otherhand, you’re able to have the ipod / transmitter completely clear of any obstructions, the bluetooth will work well.

2. thus it’s a mixed bag, but in the areas in which it really counts (ie wireless capabilities in various nonchallenging situations), this product basically stinks.

4 Stars Would get the 5th on battery life improvement
I have been looking for a good wireless headset and I feel I found it in this model. Sound is great and bluetooth functionality let’s me use my cellphone and ipod at the same time, the included microphone seems to be ok as well, people can hear me clearly.

The only thing I don’t like so far is battery life, which barely lasts two days of office work so I hope it takes many recharge cycles before any malfunction
