2 Stars a huge disappointment
I got this received because I had a PS3 and a HD-DVD player, but only one HDMI input on my television. I had also upgraded my speakers recently, and figured this would be a nice match for my new 5.1 system. What a let-down. What a HUGE let-down.

First, when the hdmi connections go through the receiver, these little white and red specks appear on the picture. It is most noticeable in very dark areas of the picture, but it’s annoying. It occurs only when using the hdmi inputs, and only when this receiver is in the middle. When I connect the PS3 or the HD-DVD player directly to the tv, the dots disappear.

Secondly, the sound is frustrating. For some reason, it puts the level on the center speaker very low and it is difficult to hear dialogue. I can use a button to cycle through sound-modes, but it requires me to go to a 3-speaker (yay for 5.1?) setup to finally hear dialogue clearly. Furthermore, it has a habit of resetting this mode at intervals.

Setup is/was frustrating as well. It requires it to be connected to a tv to use the on-screen display. I had heard people saying that they used the EZ-Tuner feature of the receiver and everything was perfect, but as stated above that hasn’t worked quite so well for me. A lot of times you will think you’ve saved your settings, exit the OSD, and find that they’ve reverted to whatever the receiver thinks they should be.

There are a lot of different “modes” that you can set up… CD, DVD, Video 1/2/3, etc. Each can be configured to some extent, but there are also limitations. For example, some modes will not activate unless there is a video signal coming in.

All in all, I wish I had not bought this product. If I had known HD-DVD would tank, I would have held on to my old receiver (a 5-yr old Panasonic) instead. I have had nothing but disappointment from this one.

5 Stars Best of the best
Harman Kardon is the brand for best audio sound at an affordable price! I highly recommend it!

4 Stars Not Bad
This is my second Harman Kardon AVR 347. The first brand new receiver stopped passing the video signal of my surround sound set up within 6 months. I had originally hooked up the system using component video cables since I did not have an HD television and was watching SD television. I returned the product and Harman Kardon replaced it with a refurbished AVR347. I was disappointed that it was not a new receiver since I had it for less than 6 months. I sent an email to Harman Kardon to that effect, they chose not to respond to me. I now have my surround sound connected via HDMI cables and so far the refurbish AVR347 is working well.

4 Stars Great first receiver from Harman Kardon
I purchased the receiver open box from Fry’s here in Houston and was lucky enough to get the remote and about $200 off of the retail price when purchased in July 2008. First impression: excellent build quality and I was the envy of all my friends who are HK fanatics.

Set up of the receiver was not overly difficult but I found out that wiring it yourself is the way to go; my friend is notoriously bad at wiring inputs correctly so I had video and no sound. Once I got that sorted the next day everything has been smooth sailing.

All of these issues with HDMI connectivity and picture issues I don’t seem to have; though I did the firmware update right after I purchased the receiver. I have HDMI 1 in use and component 2 and they output over HDMI out to my Samsung LN-T4669 1080P. This gives me no video issues and I have two cables on the back of my TV :) . I have never tried the TV speakers being that I have a full Inifinity Primus 5.1 system less the Polk 10″ sub so I can’t say if audio transmits to the TV over HDMI or not.

On to things I don’t like. The optical connections I have work fine though the cables I have from monoprice (not sure if they are a contributor to the problem or not) don’t stay in well. Luckily I don’t need the optical anymore with the new Comcast Cisco PVR; audio and video over HDMI. Also, I am kind of dissapointed that, considering when it was released, there was no support for Dolbly True HD and HD Master Audio. I plan on getting a Blu Ray player that will do the decoding and then the speakers will do the lossles audio but having it on the receiver seems like something that should be there for the price compared the Onkyo 605.

Audio quality is excellent and when running the two Primus towers alone in 2 channel stereo it was shockingingly accurate and rich. I don’t run it as such anymore and the 5.1 is different but equally rich and powerful (two noise complaints to boot!). One item I would like to see would be a second subwoofer output for 7.2 should you choose to go that route but that is just nitpicking really.

All in all I can’t be happier and I will add that the 7x55W raiting has to be conservative because I can nearly deafen guests if I turn it up to +3 or higher when listening to music (and it is crystal clear). If you can get a good deal on one now I say go for it but if you want the latest technology, audio decoding and more HD flexibility the AVR 354 and/or some of the newer Onkyo’s are the ones for you (705/6 & 805/6).

2 Stars Great Looking, Incovenient Use
I love the way the Harman Kardon receivers look. The transparent front that looks black when powered off and the blue lighted button really make my theater system look sweet. There are a few things about this receiver that really irritate me. First, the HDMI situation. I bought an HDMI capable receiver for the point of eliminating wires while maintaining my high def sound and picture. If you run the HDMI through the receiver, you can only use 720p. Thats a pretty noticeable difference on my 65″ 1080p television. Now I have to plug my HDMI devices (PS3, Computer, and Cable Box) directly into the TV and still run my optical cable to the receiver for sound. That means I have to use the TV remote to switch between devices, as well. The worst part is, to adjust the sound, I have to switch back to my TVs component source to see the on screen display. That wouldn’t be so bad if this info displayed on the front of the receiver, but it doesn’t. On screen only. I cant even adjust the bass or channel levels without having to go through a whole ordeal. That is a major pain when I happen to flip to a bassy channel or cheesy action movie.

It also makes a load popping noise when you pause a Bluray or DVD. Apparently the optical cable quits sending the surround sound signal when you pause it, so the receiver searches for a signal code. While it is doing this, it makes a popping noise really loud through the speakers every few seconds. Then, when you restart the movie, you have to switch your surround mode back to 7.1. You have to switch it every time you start a DVD or Bluray, too, since it doesn’t remember your preferences.

It comes with a microphone that you can plug, set in the middle of the room and it will automatically adjust your levels and distance settings. All I will say it that it doesn’t adjust them correctly at all.

You can buy an extra Ipod attachment, which I did. You can kind of use the remote to control you Ipod, but it doesn’t work very good and the song title displays on screen (not the receiver display) for like 5 seconds before it disappears. Unless having a nice little charging stand for your Ipod is important, don’t bother. Just get 3.5 to RCA adapter and an AC adapter.

If you didn’t understand the technical aspects of this review, then you don’t need something this complicated. Pioneer, Sony, and Yamaha make pretty decent products for the price and are much easier to use. If you have HD, I would look for something HDMI friendly. That can be deceiving, though. It was with this receiver. If you want something high end, like Harmon Kardon, I would tell you go with Onkyo, Denon, or comparable. They do look hideous compared to the HK, but are so much more user friendly. You would be much happier. This receiver is a real pain in the rear. The features are a train wreck. I hate it. But its pretty.

Flexible Connectivity
Great sound shouldn’t just be limited to a stand-alone system in your home. You also should be able to have great sound from your music devices when you’re on the go. With the Go + Play, you now can enjoy great sound wherever you happen to be. Take it with you anywhere; it works with both the included AC adapter and on batteries. When it comes to connecting your musical devices, it couldn’t be easier. Do you have a dockable iPod? Simply place it in the flat protective cradle, and instantly enjoy the sound of your favorite musical artist. The Go + Play uses a OnePoint iPod connector so that, by connecting a standard USB cable to the rear of the unit, you’ll have a connection that enables you to synchronize your iPod with your computer. The Go + Play will even charge most iPods when they’re docked in the cradle. Don’t have an iPod? Well, you can still connect your MP3 player, portable CD player, satellite receiver, or computer through the Go + Play system’s 3.5-mm input using a simple cable.

Now, watching movies, TV shows, and other video content from your video iPod is just a connection away–and you get to listen to them through the high-performance speakers built into the Go + Play.

Advanced Technology
To deliver unmatched high-performance sound, the system features a number of proprietary technologies, including dual-proprietary Ridge transducers. They’re made from aluminum, which is inherently strong yet lightweight. This design allows these drivers to reproduce sound with unparalleled accuracy and detail for their size, and means that your music will be played back with a rich midrange and crystal-clear highs, without distortion.

The included wireless RF remote control gives you the freedom to enjoy your music from across the room, in another room, or even from outside–from up to 20 feet away. Click to enlarge.

To deliver thunderous bass, the Go + Play uses dual Atlas woofers, which maximize audible output. The Atlas woofers are a high-excursion design, which allows them to deliver the bass response of much larger woofers, and means you’ll hear tight, deep bass that will make your music sound more dynamic.

Powering the speakers are two 30-watt Harman Kardon amplifiers, which are designed to deliver high output with minimal distortion. The system even uses highly advanced digital signal processing and equalization to deliver cool, efficient power.

All of that technology comes together in the Harman Kardon Go + Play system to provide a sound experience–whether on the go or in your personal entertainment space–you need to hear to believe.

Easy to Use
No need to be a rocket scientist to use the Harman Kardon Go + Play system. Its elegant, stainless-steel touch-volume controls mean that a single touch increases or decreases the volume. User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Great; But Numbers Don’t mean much.
I had this HK delivered to my office, which meant i could only check it at modest volumes; and it sounded fantabulous. It really is, and a pleasant surprise is that Amazon shipped me the new revision B product, which actually charges IPod touch 2nd Generation!, but a warning about this is that they’ve removed the back USB & Video out ports, I hear they were only useful with really old iPods got none; so no gripes there…

Why the 4 stars, if it was that awesome? this is cause my comparison is with Kickers Zkick/iKick which is rated at 40W; but this machine is rated 60 or 120W on how you interpret the ratings; either can’t be true cause at the highest volume, kicker can shake u’r house down, this baby can’t! While the midrange is perhaps louder than kicker at the highest volume low & high ends are definitely lagging behind. But at modest volumes this has better sound balance than the kickers (Mainly cause kicker needs to be at least volume 12/40 to give a great full range response).

Kicker iK500 iPod Speaker Dock (Black)

Kicker ZK500 Zune Speaker Dock (Black)

I am a dance teacher, so I was to use this baby for my living room & for bigger classes, & Keep the Kicker for bedroom & individual lessons; but now I’ve decided to reverse roles. Kicker stays in the living room, big classes, while this baby will be my individual lessons & bedtime buddy!

Pros;

Compact & more portable than Kicker’s (Handle helps)

Balanced response throughout different volumes

No distortion at highest volumes (Even BOSE suffers from this disease, btw, kicker is much louder & better at the highest volume)

Revision B works great with even touch 2nd GEN (Manual doesn’t say that; nor is there a labeled adaptor, although couple of them fit)

Can use with batteries, although I didn’t try, sounds perfect for a romantic beach outing?

Smart remote, long distance response, a nice remote compartment

Cons;

The four speaker-like grills on either side are all not speakers; it’s only the front two (Has 2 drivers each 1′ and 4′ perhaps).

One of the backs has a “pipe” acting as the subwoofer, outputting the base punch, the other’s rather aesthetic. (Yes i took it apart, & put it back successfully … Oops there goes my warranty!, I’ll upload the pics later) I would’ve rather had in center to give a more balanced response.

The handle blocks you view, also you can’t see your iPod from more than 4 feet away cause of it’s on top laying horizontal ;(

Verdict;

Awesome for your bedroom, for high quality output (See above for recommended usage). IF you want louder meaner machine with better response at higher volumes kickers your baby! The two machines are virtually the same price point, either one is great; depends on what you intend to do with it!

For HK designers; get rid of the aesthetic & excessive speaker grill, put the iPod dock there… May be get rid of the batteries and put a Kicker’s awesome cube “Woofer” there? (Now I’m just being too ambitious!)

5 Stars I’m in love…
After a ton of research on iPod speakers, I am so happy I got this one. This thing packs a HUGE punch for such a tiny box. I sold off all the pieces of my old system that was really only used for my iPod anyway and got this to simplify. So I got rid of paradigm speakers and subwoofer and I’ll be darned if this doesn’t sound ten times better! And bonus, the base on this doesn’t annoy my neighbors! AND it has an inlet so I can hook it up straight to my computer. Greys Anatomy on streaming video never sounded so good! Another GREAT thing about having this, is its very portable. I live in a three story townhome so I can take it to whatever area of the house I happen to be in. The sound is great all the time. I didn’t have to convert any of my iTunes songs like some other folks and a lot of my songs are from old CD’s. I LOVE IT!

5 Stars The rave reviews are well-deserved
There aren’t many products on Amazon.com with such a high percentage of rave reviews, but after a few days of using the harman/kardon Go+Play I can say that the enthusiasm of so many people is absolutely warranted. The sound quality isn’t just the best I’ve heard in any iPod speaker system under $500; it’s better than I would have imagined possible in a relatively inexpensive, portable, powered system. Indeed, the Go+Play comes closer in sound quality to decent standalone speakers than to other iPod docking speakers. The sound is well-balanced, detailed, clean, with plenty of bass, yet not boomy. The soundstage is of course limited, as the system is fairly compact, but it’s acceptable. Overall, this is a subtle but noticeable improvement over the Logitech Pure-Fi Elite which I’d used for almost a year before buying the Go+Play.

Build quality is very good, and the steel handle and speaker surrounds look great, though this is obviously a matter of taste. In terms of features, this system is pretty minimalist, no tone adjustment or radio tuner, though a line-in jack is included for non-iPod sources. However, the sound is so good I have no desire for bass/treble controls, and for radio you can always hook up an external tuner (HD tuners are pretty inexpensive).

The unit I received in early May 2009 is of the newer revision B, which does away with the video and USB ports (the video output was incompatible with newer iPods anyway, so no big loss) and has better compatibility (i.e. charging) with newer iPods. No dock insert was included for my iPhone 3G or iPod Nano 4G, but both worked just fine and charged in the unit. (The iPhone asked me to turn on Airplane Mode, but that’s pretty typical for accessories not specifically designed to work with the iPhone.) Since the Go+Play works with universal dock inserts, you can just buy a pack of inserts for your specific iPod model, if one isn’t included with the Go+Play.

One disadvantage others have mentioned is the design of the dock, which has the player lying flat (facing the sky) or at a slight angle, making it hard to see the screen. This was not a deal-breaker for me, though it does limit the usefulness of the remote’s ability to navigate the iPod (in addition to standard volume/track skip adjustments). It should be noted that the remote is RF rather than infrared, so you don’t have to point it straight at the Go+Play for commands to be received. There’s a storage compartment for the remote in the rear of the unit, a nice touch.

Now for a bit of a rant. The manual is almost comically brief, with more words on required regulatory notices than on how to actually operate the unit. (Was it really necessary to translate the FCC notice into every single one of the fourteen other languages? Surely the users in Sweden don’t care about Part 15 of the FCC rules?) Also, if the manual is so brief anyway, why produce a second manual for the remote (which has six buttons) rather than including the remote in the main manual? It might be common for cars to come with multiple manuals these days (one for the GPS, one on maintenance, etc.) but for an iPod speaker, really?

Two minor things: 1) It seemed at first my unit was wobbling, but I realized this was because the rear leg’s height is adjustable. The manual doesn’t mention this, of course. 2) It’s a little tricky to get the inserts to fit securely into the dock, I fumbled with it for quite a while before I finally got it. I’m still not sure what the “trick” is, because with every other iPod docking device I’ve used, the universal dock inserts just click right in. It is important to get a secure fit because otherwise your iPod may cut in and out.

5 Stars Bug-Eyed Phenom
This unit is no nonsense Harmon Kardon. They have designed it for practicality and amazing sound. It seems very well built, and the back leg even adjusts to make sure the unit sits without wobbling. The remote works very well, though it does take some getting used to. The fact that the iPod lays flat is a small inconvenience, unless you like to manually jump from song to song. The sound is almost unbelievably pristine – it will pick out any flaws in your mp3 collection (think higher bit rates). There is no internal EQ, but it does respond to the EQ set by the iPod or plugged in audio source. That said, you should only have to adjust for room placement and source material, as the default sound is very clean. I needed a replacement for my full-fledged stereo system because of space consideration in our new apartment; I found it.

5 Stars excellent sound for th $
I researched for over a month for ipod players. I settled on this one after reading reveiws and the price. Very Happy! Great rich bass and this thing is loud! I got it for $140.00 including shipping. Looks like the price went up? Still worth it. No eq controls kind of a bummer.

Harman Kardon DP 1US Drive and Play In Vehicle Interface and Controller

The product is used in a vehicle to hook up an Ipod to a vehicles audio system. Once installed it has a five button navigation controller which controls the Ipod. The screen is like what Ipod userssee on their Ipod. There is a backlit LCD screen which mounts on the dash so the driver never takes there eyes off the raod to control the Ipod. The product can be hooked using an audio aux in, an FM wireless transmitter, or an optional FM transmitter.

User Ratings and Reviews

1 Star Avoid
I purchased one of these even cheaper than this for use with an iPod touch (original). Calls to the company gave me the info that it should support basic functions on the touch. And mostly, after debugging a LOT of problems, it does work basically. Looks nice. But my ipod touch kept totally discharging, and is very hot when connected. Eventually, the wireless card fried. Apple replaced the unit, but now I really distrust this HK device. Even if it didn’t actually fry the touch, its workings are badly off. Something is wrong.

This is a wired unit – current ones are wireless and supposedly support iphone/touch. But I’m not going to chance it. This unit is really not-ready for prime time – I had to fix a couple of things they didn’t design right (after calling them – they seem resigned to it’s problems). Anyway, maybe for an OLD iPod you don’t care about, but otherwise, don’t chance it. I know my ipod is worth too much to risk again with it’s weird behavior.

5 Stars I saved a bundle
I originally paid $229.00 for this item. That car was stolen, and its been a year since. The new model from HK is Color Screen,at $250.00 this B&W model

worked beautifully ,and is $40.00 You choose.

2 Stars Poor customer service and a shabby product to boot
This is a great idea in theory. Unfortunately it doesn’t completely work as stated. Everything works fine except for one flaw that makes it an annoyance. There’s no problem when I connect my iPOD through the connector and the user interface is pretty straight forward. The problem lies in the quality of the sound that comes out. I haven’t tried using the FM transmitter so I cannot comment on that aspect. I do have an auxiliary jack in my car which produces crystal like sound when directly connected to my iPOD. Now when I connect the auxiliary cord from the car to the module that relays all the information from your iPOD it produces a static sound that is very noticeable and progressively gets worse as the iPOD remains connected. I contacted Harman Kardon to see if there was anything they could do and I have yet to hear back from them. Therefore I cannot recommend this product to anyone. Poor customer service and a shabby product to boot.

4 Stars Good Solution with a few caveats
I got this for my iPod Classic to be able to play it through my 2002 Saab 9-3 radio. I paid $35 for it, and for that price it’s a steal. I also got with it the wired FM Modulator. I used a similar setup for my XM radio, but as I decided to drop XM after they dropped my favorite stations, I got this as an alternative.

The sound quality is decent using the wired FM modulator, though sometimes the high ends can start blowing out. The best solution is still aux inputs if you have them.

One note on the wireless FM modulator: a lot of reviewers complain about the sound quality using this and give the unit a poor rating for it. What many don’t realize is that wireless FM modulators are governed by FCC guidelines and as such cannot broadcast a strong enough signal to truly overtake existing broadcasts. This is something out of the manufacturer’s hands and is no reflection on the product itself.

The display is great, a little bright at night but you can invert it. It’s much easier to see what’s playing when it’s mounted in a line of sight position. The click wheel mimics the iPod navigation nicely.

The menu system is slightly different from the iPod, and I was initially alarmed when I could not find Podcasts as a menu item. I then found it under Genres and all was well.

It (usually) remembers track positions and such for audiobooks. Every now and then it forgets.

Given that I paid only $35 for the unit, I’m extremely happy with it. I’d probably drop a star if I paid $150-200 for it when it came out. HK has since come out with a more elaborate one for $400(!) with a color display, a wireless click wheel and the ability to add satellite radio, but at that price, get a new head unit that interfaces directly with the iPod.

1 Star Bad experience
I was really ecstatic when I bought the Harmon Kardon DP 1US Drive and Play in-vehicle interface and controller for my husband. Setting it up with the FM option was a breeze. A few minutes later the display stopped working. There were a series of horizontal lines and eventually the display characters seemed to disappear. I had to return it for a refund as my husband was disappointed and preferred to get a different gift. It may work better for others but we had a bad experience with it.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars One of the best sounding, if not the best…
The highs are high. The lows are lows. This is one great sounding box. Its usable with a bunch of D batteries which can cost a bit much but it does have the capability.

This does easily blows away the Bose Sound docks. Not so sure about others high end brands. I first saw this in action at the Apple store. You should go there and just listen.

The Harman Kardon doesn’t have alot of features that some of the other iPod Speakers have(ie. equalizer, clock, Radio, etc…) but when you listen to it, you’ll probably won’t care.

This works with iPhone. It will ask you to go into airplane mode.

5 Stars Super Boom Box
This box is absolutely unbelievable with either an ipod or any other mp3 player. It comes with a cable with which I hooked up my Sony 810i Walkman Phone to play in such an outstanding manner that literally blows away all other mp3 playing one piece systems. Never expected to unleash so much rich sound from my music phone!

5 Stars awesome sound!
I purchased this unit for my husband’s birthday. He is very “particular” to say the least when it comes to his stereo equipment. I purchased this unit based on the reviews, and having heard several other brands in store (which weren’t impressive). This ipod stereo is simply amazing! The sound quality far exceeded my expectations and my husband was very impressed with it! The carrying handle on the top makes it very easy to move between rooms. You can’t go wrong with this speaker system!!!

4 Stars Not disappointed at all
After reading all other reviews and having bought the docking station, I can not say that I am disappointed.

In the position that the iPod lies inside the unit, it might be difficult to read the display of the iPod from all angles. Volume could have been slightly higher, but is still is acceptable being a portable unit. It fills the entire room and the sound is great. Friends loved the design and the sound coming out of such a small unit.

Manual instructions could have been a little more informative, as certain things you will have to figure out for yourself by trying them out. (positioning the iPod into the unit). For the price, maybe a built-in radio would full-fill total expectations.

2 Stars Great sound, but buyer beware……
I bought this for my iPod Touch.

Pro’s:

-Awesome sound. Best I have heard and I listend to everything in the apple store. With that said, you need to listen to everything yourself because some people prefer more bass and others prefer a brighter sound. I found this to be just the right balance for my preference. The differences between this, the Bose, the Klipsch, etc., are very different, so you should try them all out.

-Portable. Add D batteries and you are ready to go, anywhere.

-Solid design. This is no sissy plastic boombox. It feels solid, not flimsy at all.

-Turn it up, no distortion. Crisp and clean all the way up. Plenty of power. (If it doesn’t sound loud, it might be the recording).

Cons:

-No docking adapter for the iPod Touch

-Remote does not work properly for the iPod Touch

-No bass or treble controls

-User guide is useless. Well, not completely useless, I am sure you could use it for kindling. Translated uselessness into 11 different languages

-Remote instructions (on a sticker you must stick on the back) has very small print….not that it matters, it is not fully compatible with the iPod Touch (you can scroll through music and select different songs awkwardly, but you can not raise or lower the volume).

With that said, I would give the seller a 4. Fast shipping, though mediocore packaging. Price is awesome…..so lets say 4.5 stars.

I am very happy with the sound, however I am disappointed with the remote as well as the lack of instruction (I understand there is little to do, however, with the way it controls the iPod Touch, there should be better instructions).

Here is what I got from Harman Kardon:

“Good evening and thanks for your inquiry. Unfortunately, because of Apples security authentication IC which is exclusive to all new iPod’s including the iTouch this makes the product incompatible with some operational features of the HKGOPLAYBLK. As a result this may affect some operation of your remote as well as it not being able to pass video.”

This is not mentioned on their website, or anywhere else. So, if you have a newer product from Apple, the remote may not work properly. At this price level I feel this is unacceptable. Hence the two stars. If I had an older “I” product, and all worked well, this would easily be 5 stars.

Edit 4/26/08:

Okay, now the remote works….inspite of HK telling me it won’t work properly. I don’t know if it was something I was doing or not, quite honestly. I tried every combination, I turned it on and off, and it would not work properly. Now, when I went to listen to some music and try to figure out what it WOULD control, it seems to be working perfectly. If it stays like this, I wish I could change my rating to 4 stars, minus one for the lack of control over bass and treble, etc…. and that would really add up to half a star reduction, so might still rate it at 5 stars. I will post back in about a month to let you know if things are not just running haphazardly….I am still curious why the rep at HK told me what he did, instead of possibly telling me that the remote is not working properly. My advice, go to the apple store, try your unit on one of these and then if it works, come back and save almost $100 (after tax) here.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Great Buy
Setting up and using the bridge is a snap. Rather than having to run cables from your iPod to your stereo’s input jacks, this device runs everything through the bottom connector. The display on the H-K receiver lets you perform the same functions you do on your iPod via the remote control, albeit using different. The sound is great running through my home theater system.

5 Stars Nice features
The conveneince of the “Bridge” is a great feature to compliment Harmon-Kardon receivers. The on screen videos allow you to watch videos, downloaded movies or tv shows. I definitely recommend getting the “Bridge” to ipods users that have HK receivers.

5 Stars Great Item
The Bridge works prefectly with my Harmon-Kardon receiver. Accepts my iPod just like the Apple Dock. The Bridge matches colors as the receiver.

5 Stars simple, convenient, great
I first read a few bad reviews, but after recieving and using the product I have nothing bad to say about it. The docking station has been perfect. There’s an on screen menu that is simple to use, set up just like your ipod. The sound quality is great, and the small sleek design looks nice sitting next to the receiver. I don’t know what some people where talking about when they gave this product a negative review because you can easily skim through artists, playlists, albums, or even do shuffle play. I would recommend this product to anyone who has a harmon kardon reciever.

1 Star Works Fine but Limited Function
The product works fine, but has limited functionality. I agree with the other reviews which state that navigation is a little difficult. To me, the sound is fine. It’s easy to set up and use. The fact that you can hook your iPod to your receiver is great. But what I don’t understand is why I can’t use the Bridge to access the video on my video iPod. After all, it links into a Harman Kardon audio-video receiver. The receivers handle a host of video inputs. It seems strange to say the least that the iPod’s video cannot be accessed and displayed. My recommendation is not to buy it. You can get video from your iPod onto your TV by using an RCA adapter cable available through Amazon for one cent (plus $5 shipping). While you cannot control your iPod through the receiver you get far more access to its content and greater control over its display. Surely some day we’ll get a product worth owning. This is not it.
