Koss KSC75 Portable Stereophone Headphones

Koss KSC75 Portable Stereophone Headphones

Enjoy rich, accurate sound through your portable CD or MP3 player using the Koss KSC75 on-the-go headphones. Designed for people who want a lightweight listening solution without sacrificing audio quality, the phones employ a pair of sport clips to fit neatly around each ear, thus eliminating the constraints of conventional headbands. As a result, listeners can wear the phones–which weigh a mere 1.5 ounces–without disturbing their carefully coifed hairdos. When not in use, the headphones store compactly in a backpack or purse without taking up unnecessary space. Meanwhile, the phones produce terrific sound through their titanium-coated high-polymer drivers, which are built for maximum precision, as are the bass-boosting neodymium iron boron magnets. Their combined efforts generate a noteworthy 15 Hz to 25 kHz frequency response. Additional features include oxygen-free copper voice coils within the cord that protect the signal clarity; a straight, dual-entry 4-foot cable; and a 3.5 mm plug.

5 Stars Makes GREAT helmet speakers
I’ve been using the Koss Titanium headphones to make motorcycle helmets speakers for myself and my friends, but lately I’ve had a hard time finding them locally. I decided to try these since I’ve been impressed with the Koss brand. Although they don’t have the inline volume control of the Titaniums, these were so much simpler to modify and install. I simply popped the ear pieces off and the speakers slipped right inside of the speaker pockets inside the helmet. Taped the wires under the liner – done! The music from my iPod is very clear and not distorted when I’m riding and I don’t have to turn the volume wide open to hear them. The price and the quality of these beat any “helmet speakers” I’ve tried in the past.

1 Star Cheap, for a reason
One of the earpieces fell off on first day. I could put it back on, but it would randomly fall off, in my bags, while I was wearing it, etc.

I ended up buying another pair of headphones because I couldn’t take the annoyance of trying to keep these together.

4 Stars works for me
They fit nicely and I can still hear my surroundings. Good for work. I like the long cord. Once in a while one side pops off while in my bag but snaps right back on. As long as I don’t lose it, it will be fine.

5 Stars I love my Koss headphones
I’ve always really liked the sound from my Koss headphones. But I like this pair even more than my previous ones. My only complaint about past Koss headphones was an inline volume control. Given that I primarily use these when working out, that was a repeated invitation to shorts due to sweat invading the circuit. However, without that volume control (which was nice, but ultimately superfluous), no more shorts! The sound is great, and I look forward to holding on to this pair longer than my previous ones.

5 Stars The best low cost headphones
Great headphones, except for clips that attach to ears – often they snap off.

It’s easy to snap back on, but sometimes, you can lose one.

1 Star Bose 3 junk Can only rate it XXX
My Bose 2 fell apart and Bose would not exchange the set. So for $100.00 more I ordered the Bose 3. (Which I was told, I could not return.) Upon arrival the little pieces of black plastic were broken and the ear piece would not stay on. Try as we might to tape it together, the ear piece would not stay in place. I had purchased at least five sets of Bose 2 for family members, as well as the radio and CD Players, and therefore expected the best quality from Bose. In my estimation, Bose produced a bunch of junk and depended on their reputation to get through. I am sorely disappointed in them and judge the product XXX.

5 Stars Perfect stereo sound, perfect comfort, just what I needed
I have read many of the other Amazon reviews for Bose Quiet Comfort 3 headphones, and I recall reading about “ear pain” and “humming noises” “muddy sound” and other anamolies & problems regarding the noise cancellation feature. Of course I rather not to read others’ criticisms until I actually get the product and try them myself. So after receiving my pair of headphones I can loudly say that I do NOT agree with many of the criticisms of other reviewers.

Most importantly, Bose Quiet Comfort 3 provides the best sound I’ve ever heard. The stereo sound is breathtaking. Never in my life have I heard so many sounds and instruments, many of which were usually tucked away in other sound systems. Bose does a great job of revealing all the instrument parts.

Because of its high resolution, however, the headphones can reveal the limitations of the original source recording. Therefore, many monaural (non stereo) and poorly recorded recordings might not sound too good in headphones. Bose is for stereo sound, professionally recorded in the studio. Any well-recorded piece of music will be enhanced in ways you might have not concieved with another kind of headphone.

I feel that the noise cancellation feature is more than adequate. Yes it doesn’t completely block out extraneous sound, but I don’t think it needs to do so. When I’m wearing the headphones, I’d rather know what’s going on in my surroundings. I don’t want to be totally unaware thru complete sound reduction. Nevertheless, there is enough noise cancellation so you can hear the music from the headphones withoug too much distraction.

I have yet to bring the headphones on an airplane, but I am sure they will be serviceable when the time comes. By the way, I don’t recall the sounds of the airplane being too oppressive!! (are they??!!??) I know that these headphones were designed for the air traveler in mind.

But I still feel that the biggest noise problem on board are crying children, obnoxious tourists!!! Therefore the noise cancellation feature works best to cancel out the obnoxious person sitting next to you.

After about an hour of headphone time, I can say that they are comfortable. NO EAR PAIN!! Some people just might have sensitive ears. But mine were fine. It’s a comfortable headphone.

Bottom line: save up some money or use that tax refund check to invest in an amazing piece of electronics. Bose is the best in stereo sound, and the best in headphone technology. Highly recommended. A++

5 Stars Great sound
I have trouble wearing ear buds and needed headphones. The sound on these is very clear and with the noise canceling feature I can keep the volumn low and still enjoy the music. They are expensive but are worth the extra expense for the quality you get.

1 Star One year product
Have owned 3 Nose Noise Cancellers – thus that should prove that the technology was convincing for me as a frequent traveler !

Yet I rate it at one star since I am fed up with the fact that they always break after one year.

4 Stars Bose Quiet Comfort 3
was not in great condition. The cloth on the earphone was ripped and the sides were scratched. Everything did arrive in a timely manner.”

3 Stars Could Be Better
I have over 50 hard-running miles on my new Sennheiser headphones. The sound is pretty good – especially while resting. While running, the headband slips down (at the back of my head) and the bouncing is a little distracting. For $20 I would be ok, but at $45, the headphones seem a little pricy for the fit. I’m still using these headphones – they are the best I’ve found so far – but there must be something better our there.

5 Stars Stays Put… Finally
I have been through many different head phones and these are my favorite. The PMX80′s stay put and require no readjustment while running. They don’t interfere with my sunglasses, and I find them comfortable. Great for running, but a little annoying when using weight machines due to the behind the head design. Overall I would recommend them highly.

4 Stars I should have bought these a long time ago!
I recently bought these headphones to replace V-Moda headphones, which have been a disaster. I bought the V-Modas for $80 and thought the sound quality was good…until I spent $50 and used these. They sound fantastic! The fit is great, the cord is the perfect length, and I love the rinse-off feature and general durability. I need headphones that sound good and can withstand daily workouts at the gym/outside runs. Hopefully, they stand up to the test of time (unlike V-Moda).

5 Stars Finally found what I was looking for!
Damn, these are good! I’ve been looking for (1) high quality, balanced, sound, (2) simplicity, and headphones that (3) stay on. These are the ones! I’ve gone through many attempts but there’s always been one problem or another. Some have cords that tangle (sounds trivial but it becomes a real nuisance day after day); some have a boomy sound; most fall out; and most have decent but not really hi-fi sound. In these phones Sennheiser has done everything right for a reasonable price. Don’t hesitate.

4 Stars Best Neckband Earphones.
I previously owned the PMX70. The cable kept splitting in different area’s. Still worked, but looked very tacky. The PMX80 definately sounds better than the PMX70. I just hope the cable dosent start opening up like the PMX70. I just hope that they have improved the cable quality. I have now spent over $100. on Sennheiser in the past 2 years. Still the best sound quality.

3 Stars Sound is perfect, not durable at all though
These are really good ear buds for the price in terms of sound. If you want to use them at home – they are perfect but if you want to walk around with them and put them to your backpack, pockets, etc. they will not last too long. The first pair lasted three months the second one (which I took really good care of) – 1.5 month. I just bought the third pair (three times a charm!) of them after having enough of Shure E2c which are not as good as V-Moda in terms of sound and very bulky but at the same time durable.

4 Stars wonderful sound!
These were a great purchase. The sound quality is really good. Sometimes they are a little difficult to get in my ears all the way, but once I get them situated it blocks out sound really well. It was nice that they also came with extra earbud covers and also a rubbery stick thing that you can wrap the cord around to prevent it from getting tangled… can’t say that it works all too well, but it is a nice added extra.

5 Stars great headphones
These headphones are great. They are reasonably priced, considering what I paid for my iPod. The sound quality is very good. I wasn’t dissapointed with this purchase.

4 Stars Pretty good
The V-MODA Bass Freq Earbuds sound great and are very comfortable, but don’t seem very durable. I’ve had mine for a few months now and they’ve held up to all the abuse I’ve given them.

However, one major weak point seems to be where the headphone jack attaches to the cable of the headphones. I think it may be due to the fact that the wire coating is quite thin and rather flexible.

Other than the minor durability concern, they are an excellent pair or earbuds that I recommend to nearly anyone.

5 Stars Good Sound for a $30
First and best headphones I ever bought over $20 dollars. I’ve used my friends and they have from cheap ipod headphones to Bose and these headphones have impressed me!

1 Star Wish I never purchased
Cheap, purchased 2 pair(s) for Christmas, they both broken, ear piece broke, wire on the other pulled away from plug

2 Stars I don’t like it…
well, for earphones at $0.01 + $4.99 shipping fee, these earphones are useable, but only useable. When i opened the package, the first word popped out of my head was “plastic”, yea, plastic. And the earbuds are a size bigger than the REAL ipod earphones. So when I put them on, it’s not very comfortable. I haven’t been wearing them for a long time, but i predict that my ears will hurt after wearing them for a while.

my suggestion is that if you are just looking for cheap + not too good quality earphones, these are good for you. Otherwise, don’t get it, you will be very disappointed…

2 Stars Ok for the price
I bought these headphones for .60 cents, and when I got them, they were cutting in and out. I believe it was caused by a bent end. I dont know if I would buy again.

2 Stars Not your Apple ear buds
Bought them, wore them, they fell apart. Unless my ears have some kind of special nasty wax that makes glue melt, these buds were worth the price I paid for them…

1 Star not real ipod headphones
these are not real ipod headphones, they only look like it and the product page tries to trick you into thinking you are buying real ipod headphones. the sound quality is horrible compared to real ipod headphones and you will realize this immediately once you use them. don’t bother buying them because you will replace them immediately.
