3 Stars Tough closure
All the features are good with the exception of the hook that secures the closure on the band. It is difficult to manipulate the hook into the right slot with one hand. Velcro would have been an easier way to close the band around my arm.

4 Stars Good armband for the price…
I purchased this armband so I could use my new nano to take while I run or workout. The “sports” material is what I needed, so this caught my eye. I like the fact that it is machine-washable (which I haven’t done yet). My nano fits very snuggly in the cover, and the capsule for the earphones is pretty nifty to wrap up all that excess wire dangling.

Good things:

-Light weight compared to my old bulky neoprene one.

-earphone holder is removable

-Once you find the hook that works, there is no problem with it staying in place. Might be due to the wicking material not making it slippery?

There are a few downsides to it, and it may not affect you as much:

-After long workouts (an hour or longer), it seems that some moisture has somehow leaked into the ipod part – which defeats the purpose of the protective cover- and it is hard to slide the ipod back out. It isn’t a whole lot, and it doesn’t seem to happen on an average shorter workout. I might try putting something underneath the band, between my skin and the holder to see if it prevents the problem.

-The adjustable band that I was used to from previous armbands was velcro, which made it easy and quick to put on and take off. This one has a hook and slots to slide it in. It is adjustable, and will probably fit larger arms as well. It just takes an extra minute to get it to hook into a good one that will ensure it won’t slide down during activity. Kinda awkward if you are used to the velcro closure.

-You can’t charge your ipod while it is in the holder. It may just be because this new generation has the charger right next to the headphone jack, and you would have to have the whole bottom of the slot open to accommodate this feature. This is just a minor inconvenience.

Overall a good deal for about $20.

1 Star Christmas Gift For Mom
Griffin 9781-TRP30BK iTrip FM Transmitter with Dock Connector for iPod (Black)

The product was difficult to work with and weeks from Christmas, my mom is still trying to get it to work. Some signal is picked up, but not enough to make this product worthwhile. Because the product is not from Amazon, you cannot return it, which makes for a frustrated customer when he/she finds that the product is shotty to say the least.

4 Stars Pretty good – satisfied
The itrip is one of the best FM transmitters I have used so far. People complained that in LA it is tough to get a channel where you can use the itrip. I would disagree. I do get to use the itrip at various frequencies and the quality is quite good. The only disadvantage is that it sucks in a lot of power from the ipod, hence the ipod discharges sooner. But I use a car charger with a USB to mini-USB cable and can charge the ipod along with the itrip. A good product!

1 Star very bad reception on radio
I bought this device because I was impressed by its compact design. However I had a huge disappointment when I tested it in my car. I got some what acceptable reception on the radio only when I held the Ipod in the air and tilted in a certain direction, in any other position a lot of static or no reception at all. I tried all frequencies but same result.

2 Stars Griffin Itrip
I returned this product because it would play for about 20 seconds and then break into static. Not sure why?

4 Stars Easy But Not Perfect
This transmitter is easy to use and works well in most circumstances. In my wife’s car it’s great, listening to my iPod on my boom-box it’s great, but listening to my iPod in my car, it’s only fair with too many instances of static beaking through the music to make it useable. It’s probably got more to do with my car than the transmitter. I have had several devices and this one is the easiest to use. It’s particularly good because it doesn’t require any batteries.

1 Star Monster iCarPlay
Unless we’re doing something wrong, it doesn’t work with an iPod Touch. Therefore it is useless to me and I can’t return it because my daughter threw away the packaging and return slip.

4 Stars A good FM transmitter for iPods
This is a good product which when used with our iPod (2nd generation iPod nano) in Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee has done its job well. The built in frequency scanner is easy to operate and works well in finding a clear frequency to use. Used in conjunction with our Honda radios the sound quality is good and free from static. The display of the iPod nano is used as the display for the transmitter, which is neat. When using this unit you do have to turn the car radio up louder than when listening to the radio so if/when a radio station cuts in/overrides the transmitter the volume of the station is quite a bit louder than whatever you were listening to on the iPod. This can be anoying but this is the only drawback we have experienced with this transmitter. As with all FM transmitters the more built up the area the more you are likely to have to re-scan but so far this unit has always found a frequency it can use. Note, it will not work with the iPod Touch (if it worked with the iPod touch it would deserve 4 1/2 stars).

5 Stars Great Performance
The ICarPlay Wireless FM Transmitter does work as advertized. Very simple to use, just follow the directions. I had similar products in the past that used FM stations, but none come close to the strong signal broadcast of thie iCarPlay. I am very pleased with the overall performance and quality.

It works very well with my car. very easy to connect and easy to scan for available free fm station for tuning ipod music. it is very good product. i enjoy my ipod music again in my car. i will never run out of music again in my road trips.

4 Stars Monster iCarPlay Wireless 200
TheMonster A IP FM-CH 200 iCarPlay Wireless FM Transmitter for iPod w/ Auto-Scan works great on the road or in a large metro area. I bought it for a 6-hour drive to NC at Christmas and was completely satisfied with the reception and the auto-scan feature is sweet. Its easy to use. I can recommend it and give it 4 stars. Why not 5 stars you might ask? Well its because I believe Monster could have made the plug a bit slimmer and streamlined which would make it fit better into the power outlet in most cars that come with attached outlet covers. I previously tried the Monster iCarPlay Wireless Plus FM Transmitter/Charger for iPod which had good reception but didn’t have the auto-scan. It was too distracting to change while driving because you had to look at the read-out to change the station.

1 Star Buyer beware!!!
I have tried both the Griffin Road Trip and the Belkin Tunebase with my iPod Classic, and found both products to be worthless. I don’t live in a major metropolitan area, though it’s still hard to find an empty space on the dial without a strong signal on either side of it. Nonetheless, trying every available spot on the dial resulted in occasional success, only to be compromised with unacceptable amounts of static a block away. I have an ’03 VW Passat, and perhaps the radio is more shielded than others. Bottom line: it’s an expensive gamble!
