The news has been buzzing with this deal that Apple is in talks with Music companies to offer iTunes downloads with new buyers of iPods at an extra costs. This is to encourage sales of iPods which is rumoured to be flattening out since iTunes downloads can be used in any MP3 players. So far Apple has not confirmed or denied this.
In addition, another rumour is that iPhone owners will be offered the option of paying a premium on top of the monthly fee, for unlimited access to the iTunes library. This is in reaction to news that Nokia is ready to sell “music ready phones” with unlimited access to their music library.
Watch out for more news on this topic as I am sure there will be an announcement on this quite soon, judging by the amount of buzz in the media.
